This workshop provides managers with the tools needed to plan, evaluate, and execute effective meetings.

Participants will learn:

  • The value of an efficient and effective meeting
  • How to evaluate if you need a meeting at all
  • Characteristics of great meetings
  • How to avoid a bad meeting
  • How to lead a meeting
  • The importance of meeting logistics
  • Managing dysfunctional meeting behavior
  • How to close a meeting with efficiency and results

Course components include:

  • A needs assessment on whether to have a meeting
  • A self-assessment to determine your ability to lead an effective meeting
  • Tools to develop an effective meeting planner, agenda, and outline
  • An analysis of critical meeting logistics
  • Tips for handling meeting disagreements and challenges
  • The opportunity to conduct a meeting during the workshop

Format:

This program will be offered on Zoom as an independent, 2 hour course, or in conjunction with the Managing Your Time class. A $50 discount will be issued if you register for both classes.
